If you’re looking for RANGE, then Co.Lab demo day is where you need to be, no doubt. With each cohort, there’s an assortment of products being showcased that make you wonder if these teams have the same 24 hours as the rest of us.

Individuals with different lifestyles, clashing work schedules, living across different time zones successfully, sync up their activities and make time to work hands-on as product managers, designers or developers in order to build the most awesome products.

Co.Laborators remind us that there is indeed room for everyone in tech. How else do you explain the fact that in each cohort, different teams create completely different products and all of these products address a specific issue affecting someone somewhere?

Massive congratulations to all those who participated in COLAB12🚀🚀🚀 And here’s a spotlight on three projects that are live and ready to use:

1. Multitask

How many times have you sat in a virtual meeting, wishing terribly that you could do something else with your computer e.g check and respond to emails while the meeting was going on without turning off your camera or seeming like you’re not paying attention.

Introducing Multitask: a MacOS application that allows Zoom meeting participants to quickly perform Zoom tasks (i.e. mute, camera button) no matter what application they use during their meeting.

2. Socialite

We all know the joy when the group plans finally make it out of the group chat and happen for real! But most times, the group chats are chaotic, people miss details there, and there’s just too much going on.

Well, if you’re someone who likes to plan social gatherings for large groups, say 5+ people, Socialite was created for you. A web app that takes care of the process of inviting, confirming attendance, communicating event details, and assigning help/tasks to attendees? The hard part is over. Now you can focus on actually planning that party.

3. Gaja

With the rising popularity of Korean TV shows, this team saw an opportunity to pair an activity that users were already partaking in (watching TV) to help them meet their needs (learning a new language). Traditional language learning methods have some drawbacks - they are too time-consuming, no opportunity for immersion, not supportive of the user's end goal.

Enters Gaja; a chrome extension to help you learn Korean while watching shows and movies.

The variety of problems Co.Lab cohort members choose to solve is both impressive and fascinating. That’s why we look forward to what the COLAB13 cohort will come up with. Stay tuned!
